Office 2000 Drawing, Clip Art, & WordArt

Objective:
Learn to enhance Office 2000 files using drawing objects, clip art, and WordArt.

Prerequisite Skills:

Course Description:
Do you want to enhance your Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, or PowerPoint presentations? Do you want to add various shapes to your documents? Do you want to customize the standard clip art? Do you want to add special effects to your text?

Attend this course if you want to:

  • Draw lines, boxes, arrows and various other shapes.
  • Resize or reshape your drawings.
  • Easily duplicate a drawing (e.g., a series of arrows).
  • Create shadow and 3-D effects.
  • Add text to drawings.
  • Add clip art images to your documents.
  • Download clip art from Microsoft's Web site.
  • Resize, recolor, and rotate clip art objects.
  • Enhance your text with WordArt.

Office 2000 Charting in Word & PowerPoint

Objective:
Learn to create and modify charts in Word and PowerPoint using Microsoft Graph.

Prerequisite Skills:

Course Description:
Do you want to add a chart to your Word document or PowerPoint presentation (without having to do it in Excel)? Do you want to make your documents and presentations look more professional?

Attend this course if you want to:

  • Communicate your ideas via a chart.
  • Select from several chart types.
  • Understand charting terminology.
  • Enter data and make changes to the data.
  • Format your chart.
  • Add or modify a legend.
  • Add or hide gridlines.
  • Create your own chart templates.
  • Create charts from a Word table.
  • Import data or charts from Excel.

Office 2000 Integrating Word, Excel, & PowerPoint

Objective:
Learn to maximize Office 2000's capabilities by embedding, linking, and hyperlinking files in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Prerequisite Skills:

Course Description:
Do you ever want to insert an Excel chart into a Word document or PowerPoint presentation? Do you want the chart to automatically update when changes are made to the Excel data? Have you ever wanted to put a graphic created in PowerPoint into your Word document?

Attend this course if you want to:

  • Embed a Word table or Excel chart in a PowerPoint presentation.
  • Embed clip art or other objects into your Word documents.
  • Make changes to the original document.
  • Create a link from one application to another.
  • Import a Word outline to a PowerPoint presentation.
  • Import a PowerPoint presentation to a Word document.
  • Create hyperlinks to other files or to the Web.

Office 2000 Organization Charts

Objective:
Create organization charts to represent the structure of a division, department, group, or project.

Prerequisite Skills:

Course Description:
Do you need to create professional-looking organization charts? Do you want to be able to easily add, delete, and move boxes around?

Attend this course if you want to:

  • Create an organization chart in Word 2000, Excel 2000, or PowerPoint 2000.
  • Add boxes and text to the chart.
  • Format the boxes and text with color, shading, borders, shadows, fonts.
  • Enhance the connecting lines.
  • Select from several chart styles.
  • Draw customized boxes and lines.

Office 2000 Microsoft Maps

Objective:
Learn to visually present your spreadsheet data on a geographic map.

Prerequisite Skills:

  • Comfortable with the Windows environment.

  • Comfortable with the basic Excel capabilities.

Course Description:
Do you want to visually present your spreadsheet data on a graphic map? 

Attend this course if you want to:

  • Use Microsoft Map's predefined maps.
  • Prepare data for a map.
  • Create a new map.
  • Zoom in or out on a map.
  • Move a map from one location to another.
  • Change the way data in a map is formatted.
  • Add map labels and text.
  • Add, format, and remove data from a map.
  • Create custom pin maps to identify points of interest on the map.
  • Modify the legend.
  • Add and remove map features.
  • Refresh the map to reflect new data.
  • Create and use map templates.
  • Convert map to a picture.
